Privacy Policy

Service helpers collects only the information needed to run a local services directory:

Account details: your name, mobile number, chosen location and an encrypted password.

Business details (vendors only): business and owner name, description, services, photos, business address and, if you choose to share it, the map position of your shop.

Reviews and reports you submit, including the rating and text.

Technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, used for security, rate limiting and fixing errors.

Your location choice and language preference, stored in cookies on your device.

To create and secure your account and to let you log in.

To show vendors in your selected location and to improve search results (for example, popular searches are counted without linking them to you).

To publish vendor profiles after our team has reviewed them.

To notify a vendor when a logged-in customer views their profile. The vendor sees the customer's name, mobile number and location so they can follow up.

To prevent spam, fraud and misuse, and to respond to reports and support requests.

Approved vendor profiles are public: business name, owner name, description, services, photos, ratings, reviews, business address and map position.

A vendor's mobile number is never shown publicly. It is shown only to logged-in customers who choose to contact the vendor.

Customer reviews are shown with the reviewer's name. Customer mobile numbers are never shown publicly.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

with a vendor, as described above, when you view or contact them;

with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, SMS for OTP), under confidentiality obligations;

when required by law, a court order or a government authority.

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Verification documents collected from vendors are stored privately and are accessible only to our administrators.

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Search statistics are kept in aggregate form for up to 90 days.

Under applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent.

You can update your name and location from your profile. For other requests, email support@localseva.in. We respond within 30 days.

We use a small number of essential cookies to remember your location and language. Your login session is kept in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the website means you accept the updated policy.
